Though Jason Wu for Target's Feb. 5 debut is at the peak of my radar, it's impossible to stow my excitement away for Marni's diffusion line for H&M. With just over a month left until it hits stores, the collab's Sofia Coppola-directed commercial has just made its way to the interwebs and it's just as painfully demure as expected.
Featuring Imogen Poots, Liu Wen, Annabelle Dexter Jones and Sam Heyes, the minute-long spot gives just another preview of the awesome designs to come. Even better, in the behind-the-scenes vid, Ms. Coppola (a universal girl crush if there ever was one!) talks about her first "real" dive into fashion, as if her time as a muse for Marc Jacobs or her collaboration with Louis Vuitton's studio design director Julie De Libran on the label's Resort 2012 line doesn't count.
"When they told me it was Marni it sounded like an interesting project," Sofia said. “I always thought [Marni] made interesting fashion and that the prints were always unusual and they really have their own look–it doesn’t look like anything else.”
