Reality star and fashion designer Lauren Conrad celebrated her 26th birthday on Wednesday and received an outpour of well wishes on the big day. Based on her tweets, it seemed like The Hills beauty got surprised at work with a birthday cake and even took some time to pop open a champagne bottle. But the biggest moment of the day seemed to have been when known enemy Spencer Pratt tweeted her. It would seem that the two are back to being friends (not like they ever were) but alas, it probably was just Spencer's old way of trying to get back into the limelight. And to also bring Lauren down even on her biggest day of the year.

He tweeted, "@LaurenConrad Happy Birthday! Thanks for helping me find my miracle wife @heidimontag!" He then wrote, "My birthday wish for @LaurenConrad is for her to find true love like #Speidi."
So sincere, as usual. He must have gotten some backlash afterward too because he ended the tweets with a, "I wasn't being sarcastic! I really do wish the best for Lauren Conrad on her birthday! #forgiveandforget"
This just seems like another ploy in getting back into the public radar. Probably his actual wish for the day. After all, no amount of positive tweets could ever erase the drama that left us all witnessing some nasty black mascara tears.
