In case you missed it earlier today, beyond-ridiculous throwback rockers The Darkness premiered a brand-new song called "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us", their first new piece of music in seven years. Presumably the first single from their forthcoming third album (due later this year), the song arrives along with a typically bizarre music video featuring animation by cult artist Thom Lessner. "The video turned out ace," boasts now-mustachioed frontman Justin Hawkins, speaking with Rolling Stone. "I've always been a fan of Thom Lessner's illustrations, so I was delighted when he and Ted Passon agreed to make it," says frontman Justin Hawkins. "They have really captured the vibe of the song. I've watched the video a thousand times already and I love every second of it."

I'm pretty sure if Napoleon Dynamite ever opted to direct a full-length music video, it would look remarkably like this. Mustache guitars... fighting skeletons... Prince... it's a little over my head, but the song is classic Darkness (love the Queen-esque vocal harmonies on the bridge section) and, hell, it's just great/hilarious to see them back in action again.
