Last week was a pretty intense for Jenelle, Leah, Kailyn and Chelsea, to say the least. Real quick, here’s what the mom’s went through:
Jenelle hit rock bottom, or at least you'd think she did. She not only got into numerous fights with Keiffer in just one day, particularly because he was texting an exe, but she also threw punches at her friend and roommate, all because of, well, the friend called Jenelle on her Keiffer crap.
Leah and Corey began fighting over household issues, as in actually buying a new house. But Corey didn’t want to hear it; all he wanted to do was make his way to the dealership to get a new truck. So as result, Leah took it upon herself to look at new homes and found one. But Corey didn't want to hear it.
Kailyn and Jo officially began the child support battle – they both got lawyers, but the thing is while she’s fighting to get the money to take care of Isaac, she’s now putting up more money she doesn’t have to pay for the lawyer to get Isaac what she thinks he deserves.
Chelsea and Adam broke up. And she took it pretty hard. Instead of realizing how it was Adam’s fault, how he is super immature and sucks really hard, she turned it into ‘Chelsea sucks really hard,’ which is so not the case.
Now since last week was ‘the beginning of the end,’ let’s see how the early stages of the end are playing out.
Jenelle:
The end just may be what Jenelle needs. And when we say the end, we mean the end of smoking pot and hanging out with her derelict friends. Remember how her and Keiffer’s court date for those breaking and entering and drug possession charges was postponed? Well, they’re getting their day in court. And they actually seem pretty pumped for it.
Jenelle’s lawyer pretty much told her she’d get off, if anything, maybe some probation and Keiffer was convinced his lawyer was a monster, but a good monster, you know. So the two walk into the courtroom in their Sunday best, Jenelle some white pants and a Victoria’s Secret Pink shirt and Keiffer an orange button down, sans the green hoodie. Keiffer, while he does have a pending cocaine possession charge, gets off on the breaking and entering and marijuana possession ones, since he technically wasn’t at the house at the time, because he, well, yeah, left Jenelle there so he could go party it up. Jenelle however, has the breaking and entering and marijuana possession charges dropped, but the possession of drug paraphernalia charge stick, getting her a year of supervised – drug tested probation, meaning no more booze, no more weed, no more Keiffer and no more friends, because, yeah, she can’t be in the company of anyone who has pending drug charges or prior drug convictions.
So now while it’s the end of the world in Jenelle’s eyes, being that she can’t smoke pot, it just may be the end of the crappiest part of her life
Leah:
Leah and Corey’s marriage is disintegrating before our eyes. It’s been nonstop arguments followed by nonstop silence. Leah has even started staying at her mom’s.
It’s come to the point where Corey’s decided against getting the truck, but he still hasn’t decided to get the house. He wants to save more and take it slow. It’s always Corey’s way or no way, according to Leah. Little does Leah remember though all of the mean crap she says to him in fits of anger, like how he doesn’t do anything for the girls, when he does everything he can. And his response is “sometimes I feel like we rushed this” and Leah runs off crying, as does he.
So now she feels like he doesn’t love her and she doesn’t know if she should keep trying. And of course in the midst of all of this Leah’s mom lets her know she’s found her a home, but needs an answer within the next few days. When Leah brings it up to Corey he responds with his usual, “Jesus, god, Leah.” Eventually, he tells her to go ahead and do what she wants. And she does, telling her mom to take it. But as soon as Leah’s off the phone, Corey tells her that he isn’t going with them. He keeps throwing in the whole ‘if we do split up,’ and finally admits that he doesn’t know if he really wants to be with her.
Kailyn:
The day Kailyn knew would come has arrived. Jo wants to meet Jordan, understandably so, the guy is around his son an awful lot. But she’s being kind of weird about it, mainly because she feels Jo is going to be mean, rude, condescending to Jordan.
At first Jordan is ok with the idea of meeting Jo, day of though, Jordan gets mad anxious and doesn’t want to do it. But Jo is already at Kailyn’s door with Isaac. And you know, the meeting actually goes pretty well. Jo is polite, and a little funny, and makes sure to point out how he is particularly concerned with his son’s wellbeing, as in, if something happened, Jo knows he could contact Jordan if Kailyn weren’t available. The only awkward thing about this whole meeting is that Jordan can’t make eye contact with Jo. And that he doesn’t say more than 10 words the entire time.
Oh and Kailyn’s heard through the Twitter-vine that Jo has a girl, which he acknowledges, but vehemently insists isn’t his ‘girlfriend.’
Chelsea:
The end of Adam is the best thing that could’ve ever happened to Chelsea. She’s working a lot, got a new car – with a little help from dads, umm what about paying those utilities --, hanging with friends, and even doing some charity work.
Since Aubree was born five week premature, Chelsea figures why not draw attention to the cause and sign up for a March of Dimes walk. She sets her fundraising goal at $500 and goes straight to Year Round Brown for the first donation. Impressed by Chelsea’s compassion, her boss donates $100. After tweeting and Facebooking about the walk, in hopes of getting some more donations, Chelsea pulls her team together to prep, as in making matching tie-dye tees. Once everyone on her team starts talking about their boyfriends, Chelsea starts getting meh, saying that she just doesn’t get how Adam would rather choose skanks and cars over her and Aubree. But she gets her head back in the fundraising spirit and manages to pull in $740, exceeding her goal!
After the walk, Chelsea’s team makes it a point to remind her of just how great of a mom she is. Noting how Adam isn’t a bad dad, just that he’s straight up not a dad.
SumOlogy: The end just may be what these moms need, especially if it’s the end of things that are dragging them down. So here’s to new beginnings!
