Do you watch a classic TV show or listen to an old song and wonder, "what happened to that person?" Welcome to Where Are They Now, an Ology feature dedicated to finding out what happened to some of Hollywood's former bright stars. This week, we take a trip through our childhood to find out what happened to those crazy Disney Channel stars. I mean, they can’t all be teaches at the Disney Channel School of Acting.
Lalaine (Miranda from Lizzie McGuire)
You’d think someone with one name would become a superstar. However, the girl behind Lizzie’s ethnic BFF never did much when the show ended. She tried her hand at TV shorts and had an appearance in Easy A. Sadly she will never amount to the fame of her former friend Hilary Duff.
Adam Lamberg (Gordo from Lizzie McGuire)
Being Lizzie’s boyfriend may have been the highlight of his career. Once the series ended, Lamberg tried to take on roles in indie films like What Do We Eat? And Beautiful Losers. Too bad there isn’t a high demand for short, grungy looking dude these days.
Christy Carlson Romano (Ren from Even Stevens)
Following her days on Even Stevens, Romano stayed with Disney and acted as the voice for Kim Possible. During this time, she also became the youngest person so ever play Belle in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast. She eventually left Hollywood to pursue an education at Barnard, where she graduated with a degree in political science. Today, she’s engaged to comedian and writer Brendan Rooney.
Orlando Brown (Eddie from That's So Raven)
It seems staring on the Disney Channel was the end to this star’s success. Prior to his role on That’s So Raven, Brown starred in shows such as Family Matters and The Proud Family. 2012, however, may be a comeback year for the actor-rapper. His move Christmas In Compton is in the post-production phase, and he signed on for the 2013 film The Maul.
Anneliese van der Pool (Chelsea from That's So Raven)
This actress made history by becoming the first TWF in the history of television. You know, the token white friend. Unfortunately, that’s the only big thing on her resume. She tried taking on roles in several other series, but nothing stuck quite like Raven.
