We expect celebrities to have crappy years. Between weekly wardrobe malfunctions and off the handle Tweets, they manage to make a bad name for themselves fairly fast. Every year, however, there are some stars that shine brighter than the rest. And not because of their bad behavior. See the celebrities Ology thinks will have a great 2012.
Britney Spears

Four years ago, we worried that the pop star wouldn’t live to see 2012. Now, looking happier and healthier, Spears seems to have it all. In March 2011, she made it back to the Billboard charts with her seventh album Femme Fatale. She ended the year even better than she started it, by accepting a proposal from her boyfriend Jason Trawick. With a wedding on the way, she’s bound to have a great year.
Daniel Radcliffe

When the final Harry Potter film premiered in July, many assumed the series star would vanish. Instead Daniel Radcliffe bounced back by starring in How to Succeed In Business and earning the title Entertainer of the Year. He continues his success into 2012, starting the year with a phenomenal performance on Saturday Night Live. He’ll also break his Harry Potter image this weekend with a starring role in The Woman In Black. It looks like he’s still casting a spell on audiences.
Matthew Broderick

For 25 years, fans have anxiously awaited the return of Ferris Bueller. So they were beyond excited when Honda announced the 80’s icon would return to the screen. But Broderick was probably the most excited, since this ad campaign may be the career boost he needs.
Octavia Spencer

If anyone’s been winning in 2012, it’s Octavia Spencer. The Help star has already won a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for her portrayal of a 1960s southern housekeeper. Now, with the Oscars only a few weeks away, the actress may be able to claim the holy trinity of film awards. Get em girl!
Jason Segel

In 2011, Jason Segel crossed two things off his bucket list: make a movie starring the Muppets and host SNL. Through these endeavors, as well as his role in How I Met Your Mother, he managed to become more than a funny face (and by funny, we mean cute). With two movies due out this year and another year of the CBS comedy, the actor is bound to check off a few more tasks.
Cody Simpson

Many deem him the new Justin Bieber, and I don’t think Cody Simpson minds that title. After touring the country in 2011 to promote his hit single “On My Mind,” the 15-year-old is preparing to launch his first album this February. Just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Naya Rivera

Move over Lea Michele! Naya Rivera has stolen the spotlight during this season of Glee. By belting powerful song and showing some emotion, she managed to make the b*tchy character of Santana somewhat likeable. Maybe she’ll be the star in the show’s fourth season.
Tim Tebow

He may not have made it to the Super Bowl, but that hasn’t stopped Tim Tebow from enjoying the new fame. The football player has already received offers to appear on Dancing with the Stars and SNL. He has also been linked to several sexy stars, including Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. Perhaps he’ll even pop his cherry this year. You know, if Jesus says it’s ok.
Kristin Cavallari

Cavallari had a pretty s*itty year. After her fiancé Jay Cutler ended their engagement a month before the wedding, the star was eliminated far too early on DWTS. But she ended the 2011 on a high note when Cutler re-proposed to her. Then, she started off 2012 with a big bang by announcing the two were expecting their first child. Someone knows how to turn things around.
Jennifer Lawrence

Now that Harry Potter ended, we need a new fantasy figure to obsess about. It might as well be the star of The Hunger Games series. Jennifer Lawrence will take on the roll as Katniss Everdeen, a courageous and clever girl forced to fight for her life. The actress is bound to gain millions of fans when the first of three films premieres in March.
