If you were wondering whether it is or isn't on in Game of Thrones' second season, allow me and the latest trailer for the HBO series to clarify: It's on. So much so that I've almost forgotten how peeved I am that HBO isn't calling this thing A Clash of Kings Season 1, or A Song of Ice and Fire Season 2. The second season of Game of Thrones premieres April 1, provided HBO isn't pulling the cruelest April Fool's joke imaginable, and as this "Shadow" trailer indicates, it's gonna be chock full of torture, revenge, intrigue, and Tyrion. If you ever find yourself asking, "Do I need more Tyrion in my life?" it's already too late and you should seek a fantasy transfusion immediately.
Anyway, enough jibba and/or jabba. I'll let Varys, Jon Snow, Arya, and the rest take it away:
Looks good! From what's here, I can only imagine that the stakes are higher, the blades are sharper, and the winter winds are closing in--this spring, we'll all have another chance to play the most dangerous game. You guys ready?
I just want it to be known, now and forevermore, that when Stephen Dillane is awesome, I can sit back and say, "Called it." I just wanted that to be clear.
