It looks like someone finally broke the Bieber Fever. For years, Cody Simpson posted videos on YouTube to gain people and, more importantly, producers’ attention. In 2011, he made it happen. He went on a cross country tour to promote his hit single, “On My Mind.” With an adorable face and a hot girlfriend, Simpson may become the teen idol of 2012.
Lindsay Lohan Becomes Miley Cyrus
In Hollywood, Lindsay Lohan is the quintessential hot mess. But toward the end of 2011, Miley Cyrus started to take over that title. Between multiple wardrobe malfunctions, some slutty PDA moments and a couple of crude comments, the singer is one rehab stint away from becoming the new LiLo.
Beyonce's Baby Becomes Angelina Jolie’s Baby
At the 2011 Video Music Awards, Beyonce flaunted a new bump—a baby bump. For the rest of the year, we anxiously searched the web for photos of her growing stomach and news on the baby’s arrival. Now that she gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter, we need a new fetus to fawn over. With rumors surfacing that Angelina Jolie is pregnant (and potentially engaged), she seems to be the perfect person.
The Kardashians Become The Jenners
A minute-long marriage. A brand new baby. A move to Texas. A lot happened to the Kardashian clan this year, and now we’re sick of hearing about them. We haven’t, however, reached our limit on the Jenner girls just yet. Now that they are launching their own jewelry line and may have their own reality show, it looks like we’ll be keeping up with a different family this year.
