Celebrities are infamous for posting cryptic tweets, announcing engagement or baby news and uploading pictures of them enjoying a refreshing Starbucks on Twitter. They also sometimes get in trouble for misinformed comments and barely clothed pictures that are sent out to fans immediately with a backlash just waiting to happen. Over the years celebrities have come and gone from the social site, but at least most are at least willing to try it out. Some A-listers out there refuse to even sign up for an account.
So check out this list of seven celebrities that have become a 'Twitter Quitter' in their day. Not so surprising that the majority of them later returned only weeks later.
5 Celebrities that should leave Twitter
1. Demi Lovato

Demi is the latest celebrity to leave Twitter. Just this past Saturday the once Disney star tweeted, "Twitter break. It's for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Anyway...BYE!" Her recent comments about women not needing men (ahem, Wilmer Valderrama) and lashing out at writers from the show Shake It Up probably made her PR team step in.
2. Ashton Kutcher

The backlash that inevitably caused a stir back in November when the Two and a Half Men commented on Joe Paterno amid the Penn State child sexual exploitation case. Way to be misinformed. He soon took back what he said and replied that he would be handing his account over to his management team. Didn't last long though--he came running back to the site weeks later.
3. Miley Cyrus

In 2009 Miley decided to leave Twitter and she announced the news by filming a rap video for her fans. She commented, "I stopped living for moments and started living for people." This is probably true, being that there are countless Twitter pictures of the singer and actress online. She soon came back though, continuing her old ways. She recently uploaded a picture of dog Ziggy that she bought Liam Hemsworth and oh yea, doesn't seem to mind getting frisky in other shots. A picture surfaced Wednesday of her licking a penis cake.
4. Chris Brown

Chris Brown not only left Twitter in 2009 but he also left in 2011. Is he back on the site? Of course he is. The singer is notorious for throwing out tweets and quickly taking the controversial ones down. He was also caught flirting with Rihanna recently through the site. He's just confused. Should he stay or should he go?
5. Amanda Bynes

As one of the most confusing celebrity Twitter handlers, Amanda is currently back on the site after what can only be categorized as a soul searching moment. Twitter is where the actress announced that she would be taking a break from acting only to come back by posting racy pictures of herself.
6. Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin left Twitter in December after a Words with Friends incident heard around the world only to come back a mere month later. And he came back with over 32 tweets in just a few days. [Note: This would be hilarious if the actor actually did this on his Twitter but sadly it's just from his film It's Complicated].
7. John Mayer

No, he didn't leave Twitter because he commented that having sex with Jessica Simpson was like doing crack cocaine. (He did that one in an interview). Instead he left Twitter in 2010 most likely because he just became the center of attention and he in general started to become a negative fixture in the media. He apparently also ditched the site for 'Art.'
