If you haven't played the original Deus Ex, I'm not saying I'm going to revoke your invitation to my birthday, but you're definitely not getting a party hat. Deus Ex is one of the best and most beloved PC games of all time, people! It's a shooter...and a roleplaying game! It's hard to top that kind of value, especially when it's all wrapped up in a slick cyberpunk package. If you give it half a chance, Deus Ex will become one of your favorite games of all time. And now, you have a new way to get the game that inspired this year's acclaimed prequel Human Revolution: the old-school treasure trove of gaming, Good Old Games.
GOG.com and Square Enix have joined forces at last, and to celebrate, two Eidos games--DX and the classic Hitman: Codename 47--are now available through the digital storefront. Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition will run you $9.99 (worth it!) while Hitman is going for just $5.99--a bargain price for a whole era's worth of shooting, stabbing, etc. More Square Enix games are reportedly on the way, so if you're crazy psyched for, I dunno, the PC port of FFVII, you may be in luck.
Also, New York state law dictates (not really) that everyone listen to the following whenever I write about the original Deus Ex. You're welcome:
His singing? Augmented.
