As the great Amanda Palmer once (might have) said, "Who needs love when there's Angry Birds?" Rovio's smashing good mobile game--now a worldwide phenomenon--is making its way to the world's foremost social network on Feb. 14. The combination of Angry Birds and Facebook is likely to produce the most addictive single experience in all of human culture, so, you know, get ready for that. If you're on a hot date this Valentine's Day, an Angry Birds Facebook showdown will give you a common enemy (those accursed green pigs!) and a reason to band together; if you're flying solo, you'll be able to take out your rage at all things romantic by... destroying things.
Some of you might be saying, "OK, I own Angry Birds on my iOS device, and I can play it through Google Chrome... why should I use the Facebook app?" First and foremost, it has leaderboard support, so you can see which of your friends is the angriest and/or birdiest. In addition, the Facebook version comes with new power-ups--everything from familiar bird boosts to earthquakes on demand. Some of these will be earned in game; others will run you $0.99. Earthquakes, people! That's some serious anger right there.
Do you guys think you'll dig the Facebook Angry Birds, or are you sticking with a previous version of the game?
