Remember that beyond-random Popeye cartoon last weekend... you know, the one featuring Wilco? Of course you do. Turns out it wasn't a weird fluke—the band's new "Dawned On Me" music video (directed by Darren Romanelli in collaboration with King Features) is a full-fledged, real-deal Popeye the Sailor Man cartoon... the first hand-drawn one in 25 years. No, seriously. It's too strange to describe—take a look for yourself below.
Album Review: 'The Whole Love' By Wilco

I love Wilco as much as the next twentysomething, but seriously... Jeff Tweedy, what a jerk! Stealing Olive Oyl away from Popeye like that—beyond uncool. (On a more personal note, I think my unique brand of dancing more closely resembles Olive's than I'd care to admit.) It's a pretty cool clip, I just can't wrap my head around how/why Wilco and Popeye are a thing now. You guys, discuss amongst yourselves in the comments section below.
