Check Out Red Hot Chili Peppers' Super Fun "Look Around" Music Video

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have set a pretty intimidating precedent as far as music videos are concerned. "Rain Dance Maggie" (see below) was a bit under-whelming... "Monarchy Of Roses" (also below) was a giant step in the right direction... and now the brand new video for "Look Around" returns the Chili Peppers to their rightful place as Kings of the Playful, Arty Alternative Rock Video. Directed by Robert Hayles, the clip features each band member performing in a different room designed to reflect their respective vibes and personalities. (New guitarist Josh Klinghoffer's personality, I've deduced, can best be described as: "lamp-ish".)

I really, really dig this one—kind of reminds of that scene in Help where The Beatles walk into four adjacent apartments but it turns out they're just four slices of the same flat. Chad and Josh must've pulled the short straws this time—no cute neon-haired girls in sight! Kiedis is still freaking me out with that '70s gay porn star mustache, but it's comforting to know that Flea is still a hopeless party animal (at least on celluloid) after all these years. Easily their best video since "Can't Stop"... and almost as fun to watch and re-watch.

RHCP fans—what do you guys think of the "Look Around" video? Hit up our comments section below with your first reactions.
