Looks like prayer and petitions work! After three months of pleading to producers and rallying fans, 2Gether finally got the greenlight on a reunion.
TMZ reports that the boy band, famous for songs like "U+Me=Us (Calculus)" and "The Hardest Part of Breaking Up," received permission from MTV to follow through with their reunion show. MTV has been interested in the project for quite some time, but since it wasn't a priority (how could it not be?!) they didn't deal with it until recently.
As part of their negotiations with the network, the four living members requested that they have full control of the project. And MTV, surprisingly, said yes. This means the boys will organize, film and package the show.
Watch Alex Solowitz dish on the reunion.
But don't bust out your 2Gether Tees just yet. MTV will not make a decision about airing the reunion until they see the final results. So they best make it a good one. Not that these boys can do anything wrong.
The boys plan to donate all the proceeds to the Michael Cuccione foundation, an organization named after their member who passed away from cancer in 2001.
