Freddie Prinze Jr., Mars, And More: New Details Arrive On 'Mass Effect 3'

GT.TV released a whole slew of new information on BioWare's upcoming Mass Effect 3 yesterday. 

 

 

For those of you who don't want to watch the full video, here are the basics:

 

  • We can see at least one Rachni (returning from the first Mass Effect), as well as a new type of enemy I'm unfamiliar with.
  • Actor and WWE enthusiast Freddie Prinze, Jr. will be voicing the new character James Vega. I guess that's awesome? How are we supposed to feel about Freddie Prinze, Jr. at this point?
  • We'll be taking a trip to Mars, where Liara is studying the Pothean Archive. According to lead writer Mac Walters, "The Protheans came very close to defeating the Reapers...unfortunately the Illusive Man [and] Cerberus are there ahead of you."

The demo version of the game will be released February 14, but the full version doesn't arrive until March 6th.
