I'm not going to delve into the whole politics stir here, because I really don't feel like reading elitist comments about this and that just because the president is singing, so, if you're looking to take the soapbox (and you probably will simply because I said this), back off and ejaculate your tirades elsewhere.
That being settled, President Obama gave an interesting "performance" last night (January 19) at a fundraiser in the Apollo Theatre in Harlem where, after talking about this or that, decided he would drop a quick singing bit from Reverend Al Green's track "Let's Stay Together" in what I can only guess is defiance to a dare:
"Those guys didn't think I would do it," he said. "I told you I was gonna do it."
P.B.O gave Al a little shoutout as well: "Don't worry Rev., I cannot sing like you, but I just wanted to show my appreciation."
Here's footage of the deal, give it a watch, throw up your thoughts. In case you didn't know, this isn't Barack's first musical venture, as he released a cover of Waka Flocka Flame's "Hard in da Paint" awhile back, which you can also watch below.
