MixMag readers have named The Prodigy the Greatest Dance Act of All Time. Agree?
Are The Prodigy the best dance act in history? The readers of MixMag certainly think so— the Essex big beat trio recently topped the magazine's Greatest Dance Act of All Time poll, beating out heavyweights like Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Fatboy Slim, and Deadmau5. "Something like this is truly voted for by the people - and essentially we are nothing without them, so it feels awesome and really respectful," said The Prodigy's Keith Flint, responding to the award, "To walk off a stage and feel like we smashed it - that's the reward for us, to see the crowd react and know we've done what we've come to do."
The trio, currently putting the finishing touches on their next studio, are set to premiere new material during their headline slot at this year's Download Festival on June 8. Check out their MixMag acceptance speech and the 19 other runner-ups below. (via mixmag.net)
