FINALLY! I knew that if I got down on my knees and prayed
right before every single one of these shows, Beysus Knowles would bless me
with the opportunity to use all of them in the same article! SHE IS ALL
POWERFUL AND WE ARE NOT WORTHY!
GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) announced its nominees for the 23rd Annual GLAAD
Media Awards, and it’s no surprise to find hit series Degrassi in the ranks for a fourth year. As the GLAAD Media Awards honor those in the industry who produce positive and
groundbreaking images of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered communities, Degrassi and several other TV series continue to break boundaries
with honest and gripping portrayals of adults and youth alike struggling with
self-identity and public perception.
Also among the ranks are four more popular series that
feature prominent gay and lesbian characters: ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, Showtime’s Shameless,
Starz’s Torchwood: Miracle Day, and
ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy.
In the comedy category, Glee,
Modern Family, and Happy Endings were among those who received
nods. For reality series, Dancing With
The Stars, The Glee Project, The
Voice, and The Real L Word have
been selected. You can view all of the GLAAD Media Awards nominees here.
