Do you watch a classic TV show or listen to an old song and wonder, "what happened to that person?" Welcome to Where Are They Now, an Ology feature dedicated to finding out what happened to some of Hollywood's former bright stars. This week, we search the web to find out about the members of the ultimate boy band, 'NSYNC.
Justin Timberlake
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past decade, you know what the band's sex symbol has been up to. But to be fair to his less successful band mates, I'll recap. In 2002, the artist took his act solo and sold 7 million copies of his first album Justified. He even tried his hand at acting, proving that you only need a pretty face to book a film. Most recently, Timberlake proposed to his on-off girlfriend Jessica Biel. But I'm still waiting to see the ring before I congratulate the couple.
JC Chasez
Although he failed as a solo career, Chasez has helped other artists improve their music. He has written and produced for musical acts like David Archuleta, Matthew Morrison, and the Backstreet Boys (that one must be a little awkward for him). When he's not assisting singers, he acts as a judge on America's Best Dance Crew. He also saved a baby, but that's not a big deal.
Lance Bass
After hiding his sexuality for many years, the singer announced that he was gay in summer of 2006. While this wasn't as expected as Ricky Martin, it didn't turn too many heads. It did, however, result in a bigger fan base. Sometimes it pays to be gay.
Joey Fatone
Surprisingly, Fatone has had a successful post-'NSYNC career. And by successful, I mean he's not homeless. He appeared in several Broadway shows including Rent, Little Shop of Horrors and The Producers, and competed on Dancing With the Stars. Who knew this guy had talent?! Today, you can find him competing on food Network's Rachel vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook Off. As an Italian, be best bring home the prize!
Chris Kirkpatrick
Or as you probably know him, the guy with the weird hair. Well folks, I hate to disappoint, but he shaved off that cornrow-dreadlock hybrid and toned down his crazy ways. In 2008, he competed on CMT's Gone Country and came close to signing a record deal. Too bad Sebastian Bach beat him to it.
