Avril Lavigne has said see you later boy to boyfriend Brody Jenner. Multiple sources are confirming that the couple have split after two years of dating.

Was it because Kim Kardashian's failed marriage got the best of Brody? Is it because they got tired of looking at their matching tattoos? Nope, it's because the duo have found it difficult balancing their relationship while trying to focus on their individual careers. 

"It was mutual, but Brody really broke up with her," a source tells Us Weekly. "He told her he was always tired of always being her plus-one, and always going on tour with her...Every time he wanted to come back and take meetings to get his career back in order, she would make him go to Asia and Europe." 

The couple went through a lot back in November when Avril was attacked at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood by a group of five people. They both sustained minor injuries and responded about the incident via Twitter. The fight and the split may have both been surprising, but a reconciliation shouldn't be ruled out just yet. Another insider adds, "They still love each other and could get back together, but for now, he needed a break."

So what's a girl to do now without her skater boy? Maybe call up her ex-husband Deryck Whibley for support. Apparently they've kept chummy over the years.
