Are you guys having a good time with Star Wars: The Old Republic? I've been menacing the galaxy as a fierce Sith Marauder for the past week or so, and I've been having a blast. Mouthing off to Sith Lords and secretly donning my goody two shoes at every turn is surprisingly empowering. I'm impressed with the UI improvements BioWare has introduced, but there are a few issues that are still bugging me. Issues like the lack of bracket separation in PvP and the fact that I can't just go nuts and kill a frack-ton of Rakghouls. The first content update for the game, "Rise of the Rakghouls," hopes to address these concerns by adding... um, brackets and Rakghouls, among other things.
The update, scheduled for release on Jan. 17, brings along some content first glimpsed on the test server: The Kaon Under Siege Flashpoint and Operation: Karagga's Palace missions will both be making an official debut with "Rise of the Rakghouls." In addition, the Star Wars: The Old Republic update will fix some pesky tech issues like anti-aliasing and introduce some quality-of-life improvements like (woo hoo!) PvP brackets. If you've been ganked one too many times by a far more advanced opponent en route to the Voidstar's central console, worry not: Soon, you'll be against foes who occupy your level playing field. Sounds good!
