What's going on here? Ashton Kutcher has been photographed once again sporting his wedding ring. But in an even more significant turn of events, he's cut his hair and lost the douchebag beard.
Kutcher was front and center at Wednesday's Television Critics Association conference, talking about plans for the upcoming season of Two And A Half Men on CBS.
But most questions centered on the obvious fact that Ashton Kutcher had dropped the shaggy dog look adopted for his billionaire character on the show. (Have you ever seen a billionaire with a Trashbag 'do? Nah...)
Once the initial shock and awe wore off over his new 'Lego Man' look, photogs got some shots of Ashton nervously fingering his wedding ring and even sliding it on and off a few times. 'It's there! It's gone! It's back again!'
Kutcher was photographed without the ring in December after the announcement of his impending divorce from wife Demi Moore, not long after the Sara Leal cheating scandal blew their 'open' marriage out of the water and into the toilet.
But the new look is all related to the story arc this season on 2AAHM. "I'm sure there will be people now that I've cut my hair and shaved my beard that want me to have long hair and a beard," said Kutcher. (Ummm... what?)
"How it evolved is that these guys wrote a screenplay that dictated that I cut my hair and shave my beard at some point."
Uh-huh. So it's a plot device.
Hmmm... makes one wonder if there's to be a storyline in which Kutcher's character gets caught cheating, goes to a Scientology camping weekend with his ex, gets spotted with 3 hotties in Paris and then comes crawling back to his true love, clean-shaven, and with his wedding ring Krazy Glued to his middle finger.
Now that would make a great story arc...
