Watch This: Worst Bowling Toss Ever

Sports Editor
On Jan 09, 2012

As a kid, it's always your life's dream to grow up and make the pro tour. Josh Blanchard realized those dreams this year as a rookie on the Pro Bowling Association's circuit. His time had finally come. Life was a dream.

But that dream turned into a nightmare last weekend at a PBA World Championship qualifier in Las Vegas.

According to Jason Thomas of PBA News, the young Blanchard was struggling through a match against Jason Belmonte on the always difficult Shark oil pattern that Belmonte had selected. Blanchard got off to a tough start when he flagged a 7-pin in the second frame, and things didn't get much better from there.

Taking a paltry 129 score into the 9th frame, Blanchard left himself a 2-10 that pretty much ended any chance he had at catching Belmonte, who had also been struggling with the Shark oil pattern. That's when things really fell apart for Blanchard.

"Throwing a brand-new spare ball, Blanchard hung up in the thumb," Thomas writes. "And I'm talking HUNG UP - as in, it didn't come off his hand."

You've been there before, so you know the empty feeling you get in your gut when your thumb gets stuck in the ball and you go skidding out into the lane like a cow on ice. Well you're lucky, because when it happened to you, ESPN wasn't on hand with cameras rolling.

From bad to worse to miserable.

Oh my goodness gracious.
