This is why we love Sir Charles Barkley, and this is why TNT wisely finds ways to get him on TV as frequently as possible. Last night, Barkley went to the sidelines to join announcers Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller at the Miami Heat-Atlanta Hawks game. It makes sense; Inside the NBA is based in Atlanta, so why not have Chuck do some announcing?
As usual, Barkley brought the heat, but he continued to bring it during a commercial break that he thought was not being recorded. For the uninitiated, Barkley has recently become the face of Weight Watchers' "Lose Like A Man" campaign. Here's a commercial to give you an idea:
Well, during the aforementioned commercial break, Barkley told Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller that getting paid to endorse Weight Watchers was a bigger scam than making a living watching basketball. Classic Barkley. He gets his money for nothing and his checks for free.
On a more serious note, he also said he can't stand to watch an Atlanta Hawks team full of nice guys. I guess we know to bet against the Hawks this season!
