It is a period of lunch. Burger spaceships, striking from a hidden bun, have won their first victory against the evil Hungry Empire. During the battle, Burger spies managed to steal secret recipes to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DARTH VADER BURGER, an armored sandwich with enough power to destroy an entire side dish. Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Emily Cheever races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen recipe that can save her people and restore deliciousness to the galaxy.
You guys have NO IDEA how long I've wanted to start an Ology post with an opening crawl. NO. IDEA. Now that that's over with, meet the Darth Vader burger! Starting in February, a French fast food joint called Quick will offer two Star Wars burgers--a Jedi burger and the "Dark Vador" burger. Check out all their... majesty:
From the looks of things, this is a tie-in for a 3-D release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, which is sort of an odd reason to introduce a Darth Vader burger. Then again, I definitely wouldn't order an Anakin Skywalker burger, so I guess I see where they're going there. TDW Geek is asking all the right questions, though, when it wonders: What topping is that sitting so proudly on the Jedi burger? Is it garlic? Mini Lucky Charms marshmallows? My theory is that those are actually huge concentrations of midichlorians. You're welcome, non-Force-sensitives.
