Gather 'round all you Preppies and Mammas, A.C. Slater is finally settling down.
Mario Lopez and his lady friend Courtney Mazza, the proud parents to 2-year-old Gia, are gettin' hitched.
Mario popped the question over the New Year's weekend while the family was on vacation in Ixtapa, Mexico.
The Saved by the Bell alum tells US Weekly that he chose a quiet sunset walk as the romantic setting. "I told Courtney that I wanted the mother of my children to have their last name. She was silent at first from shock, then she leaped for joy and did a little jete."
Which makes sense because that is one of the more awkward proposals I've heard. I mean it's sweet, I guess, with a hint of machismo. What if Court doesn't want his last name? Maybe they can combine them and call it even. Mr. and Mrs. Lopezzza. Mr. and Mrs. Mapez. It just flows, really.
The couple, who has been together since 2008, plans to wed in Mexico later this year.
Hopefully all the wedding plans won't get in the way of Mario doing his daily, shirtless, walks with his babe and pup (yum).
It's already been a big year for celeb engagements, from the hotness that is Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez and Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake.
