Do you think you and others of your generation process information differently than your parents? If so, how?

Lily Sherman: I think we look for and towards information more and more more quickly than our parents. We respond to texts instantaneously and we tweet at each other. Our parents call and email each other. We just want to talk more and talk faster.

Nicole Hoffman: Parents take things way too seriously online because at the end of a day, a comment is just that- a comment. It's not life or death and the person probably didn't think before writing it. I take a lot of things posted online with a grain of salt even though people should know better when putting things online.

Joseph Anzora: I would say that I do process information more rapidly just because of the technology we have now. But my parents are catching up with the times and acclimating to the technology

Amanda Alves: I think my dad is fully aware of the shift to technology, but my mother has absolutely no idea. She doesn't even know how to turn a computer on and does not know how to text.

Emma Hickey: I think I'm far more reliant on technology than my parents. My first reaction is to google something I don't know, while they try to think it through and reach an answer on their own

Katie Scarpa: Yes, I think it's becoming apparent in society today that the technological shift is starting to affect our rate of processing information-- I'm able to process things a lot faster than, say, my mom. Their understanding might be a bit more thorough, though.

Corinne Ray: In general I don't think my parents really compute the shift that's happening. Not just out with the old in with the new but a new way of thinking and creating for the next generation that my generation is trying to create.

Pinky Jonas: Yeah, my parents just DON'T GET IT!! my mom doesn't know how to text

Lizzie Kardon: Sometimes, yes. For instance, my mom is completely technologically inept. By default, she has to use other resources to reach conclusions and decisions. Also, she bought a Droid tablet instead of an iPad when they cost the same amount of money and i'm just like... Mom, what? apple products are SUPREME. and she's just like, "I'm a PC user!" whatever that means.
