Lea Michele, Rob Kardashian, Christina Hendricks And More Announce Their New Year's Resolutions

On Jan 03, 2012

Every year on January 1, people across the world commit to making a change in their lives. Whether it's shedding some pounds, finally taking that dream vacation or aquiring a semi-valuable skill, we all want to create a new person in the new year. Even celebrities try to better themselves, although they could probably change themselves with a lot of cash and little effort. See what some of today's biggest stars hope to achieve in 2012.

Lea Michele

The Glee star hopes to push herself in the new year. In an interview with Contact Music, she said she wants to, "keep working, doing things that are challenging, exciting and enjoyable." Her removal from Glee may add to the challenge, as her character Rachel Berry is set to graduate in June.

Kim Kardashian

The reality star failed her 2011 resolution of staying single all year, so she decided to try something a little easier. Kardashian tweeted that she "wants to be more simple in 2012." How did she start? By changing her Twitter background to nothing. Hey, you gotta start somewhere.

Kelly Killoren Bensimon

When you're on a reality show, you deal with a lot of a*sholes. So Bensimon wants to remove all those people, and more, from her life. The former Real Housewives of New York star says she wants to "take 30 days off of everything that's toxic and see how I come out the other end." Having left the show this September, it looks like she's off to a good start.

Rob Kardashian

The lone male Kardashian had an amazing year. He stepped out of his sisters' shadows and came in second on Dancing With the Stars. How does he plan to top that? "I have a dress sock line I'm working on," he says. "I want that to launch successfully."

Christina Hendricks

Since Man Men didn't air in 2011, the show's sexiest star had plenty of time to think of a resolution. And she came up with a good one. "I think balance in life is the key to good health. My goal in 2012 is to maintain balance by finding time to give to others." More specifically, she hopes to raise funds for the Make A Wish Foundation.

Kat Graham

Most people swear of sweets when the new year begins. But The Vampire Diaries star has a different plan. She wants, "to eat as many donuts as possible and lose weight while doing so." If only we all had that mindset (and metabolism).

Adam Levine

Maroon 5's front man has a mixed bag of goals for 2012. Some, like "take more hike," "share," and "enjoy" seem standard. Others, like "start smoking," "kill my own food," and "make friends with a lion" are a bit odd. But if anyone can accomplish these tasks, it's the always ballsy Levine.

Dana Wilkey

Given her not-so-starring role on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, you would think Wilkey would want to step into the spotlight this year. Instead, she hopes to stay out of the drama and "not to fight with anyone of the cast members." Here's your one-way ticket off the show sweety.

Kourtney Kardashian

The eldest Kardashian is all ready an amazing mom to Mason. So what's her next step to improvement? Being a better wife. She hopes too be nicer to the father of her child and on-again, off-again beau Scott Disick.

Simon Cowell

Always the realist, the X-Factor judge has the best resolution of any celebrity. The reality star says he "never" makes resolutions since "you're never going to keep them." Good point. But isn't it better to try and fail then to never try at all? I mean, look at all those X-Factor and American Idol contestants.
