Listen to another new track by Air: "Sonic Armada".
French retro-pop duo Air's latest album La Voyage Dans La Lune (their recently commissioned score to director George Méliès' silent era film classic of the same name) doesn't drop until February 7, but another new snippet from the soundtrack has made its way online. It's called "Sonic Armada" and you can check it out below.
Not a traditional "song," per se, but another interesting look at where Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel's collective heads were at while scoring the film. Like their recent Cartier ad spot, the music sounds a little bit more... "aggressive" than your average Air tune. The bloopy synth fills could've been ripped from either of their first two records, but that almost aggro synthesizer noise that floats through the mix is an unexpected new element that, perhaps unsurprisingly, works strangely well with Méliès' visuals.
