GameInformer reports that Disney will be releasing a sequel to Epic Mickey in the fall of 2012. Unlike its predecessor, Epic Mickey 2 will be a multiplatform release, so all the PS3 and XBox 360 owners can sling some paint around on Mickey's behalf. Apparently, this info was released via a Disney newsletter and then quickly redacted, but not before it made its way onto the internet and into our greedy little rumormongering hands.
In the new game, you will once again be able to control Mickey Mouse as he uses paints and thinner to manipulate the world around him. However, the sequel also adds the opportunity for 2-player co-op, with the second player controlling Mickey's predeccessor Oswald the Rabbit. Oswald can't paint, but he can fly like a helicopter and shoot electricity. The newsletter also suggests that decisions players make will alter the eventual ending of the game. Epic Mickey Effect 2, anyone?
