Now before we catch up with Jenelle, Leah, Kailyn and Chelsea, let's quickly look back at what last week had in store for the moms.
Jenelle, with some convincing from her mom, pressed domestic violence charges against Keiffer. And as a result, her mom opened the front door, letting Jenelle move back in.
Leah brought Ali in for a brain MRI and Corey was at their side, which is a pretty rare occurrence since he's always working. And as they put little Ali under, Corey literally broke down. And it was literally beyond intense, like I was holding back tears and pushing down the lump in my throat intense.
Kailyn and Isaac move into their own digs. But she didn't let mom know beforehand. And when she did her response was 'grow up, you should've been keeping your room clean.' Oh and her mom was also more concerned that Kailyn had taken the TV and – remote.
Chelsea got her knee surgery done and Adam was actually there to take care of Aubree, except for he had a few choice words for his daughter as in 'little bastard'. Honestly though, how does he not realize he is doing all of this on camera? Acting so smug, so immature.
This week though, well, it's supposedly no looking back for the moms. But come on, we know they're going to look back and some of them (cough: Chelsea :cough) may continue repeating their mistakes for the next few years.
Jenelle:
Jenelle may have gotten the most awesome birthday gift ever. But before we get to that, let's first remind ourselves that Jenelle is turning 19. Yep, 19. You'd think with all the crap she's been through the girl was turning 34 or something. Anyway, that awesome gift … Keiffer turned himself in. Seriously the most awesome birthday gift he could ever give her.
But Jenelle got other gifts too. For instance, her mom gave her a can of Fix-A-Flat and some jumper cables, while reflecting on the story of Jenelle's birth. To which Jenelle reflects on how awesome it is that this is her last year being a teenager, because well, you know, as she puts it, when you're no longer a teenager people start taking you seriously. Except for, that's not the case at all. You could be 23 and if you're failing online college courses, smoking pot on the non-stop, sleeping in and fighting with your mom, like physically fighting, no one is going to take you seriously. Ah, at least Jenelle has another year to figure that out.
Back to that awesome gift though, Jenelle was actually the one who drops Keiffer off to turn himself in. And during the ride they discussed their 'relationship'. Like really? Do they both consider what is going on between them to be a relationship? But, hey, if him telling her he loves her as he walks through those precinct door is a relationship, well, they're in a relationship, right?
Leah:
Since Corey, and pretty much everyone else in the family is busy, Leah and her grandmother visit Ali's pediatrician for the little one's brain MRI results. Now while Corey's excuse is that he's run out of sick days, Leah thinks he's just really to scared to be there when the results are unveiled, that he can't handle it.
But as it turns out, the results, while there's bad news and good news, are actually overwhelmingly good. Not good as in "look at that chub face, look at her, she's just perfectly fine." More so good as in, it's just one optic nerve that is small, while the other is completely healthy and there are no signs of brain damage or spine damage. That's right, NO signs of damage. However, there is that question of how much the damage of the optic nerve will advance, and if it even will. Only thing for sure though is that it wont get better.
Now it's onto the geneticist for DNA testing both family lines to see what may be in there. Maybe something that can explain Ali's delayed development a little more.
Kailyn:
It's been three months since Kailyn and Jordan have started their relationship and man, oh man, is it getting serious. Yes. They are having sex.
See, Kailyn waited ' so long', three months, just to be sure Jordan really respected her and that she would have enough time to think it all through, and three months was enough. Only thing though. Jordan's not mature enough to speak about all that sex they're having and while they always bag it up, Kailyn routinely forgets to take her birth control pill. So she amps up the protection by getting Mirena (hello, advertising), an IUD that prevents pregnancy for up to five years. And woooah, they show her getting it inserted.
But when it comes time to discuss her new birth control with Jordan, he just cant handle it. The kid gets so uncomfortable. His response is just 'that's good, sure.' Wonder if it's because of the cameras or the fact that there's a baby sitting right there in the room. But really, if Jordan can't talk about sex then he shouldn’t be having sex. And she shouldn’t be having sex with such an immature person. Like how does that work in the moment? It has to be so awkward and lacking serious intimacy.
Jordan comes around though, and explains why it was uncomfortable for him and how he's glad that she is helping protect them both from an unplanned pregnancy and that he understands how it wasn’t easy for her to go by herself.
Aww, he loves her!
Oh, and Kailyn still hasn't spoken to her mom since returning the TV remote.
Chelsea:
And so it repeats. That's right, Adam is being a jerk – again. No surprise here. This time though, he leaves with Aubree and avoids all of Chelsea's calls.
And really, no one puts it better than dad 'that's your prince charming'. So while Adam is perfecting his disappearing act, Chelsea's sister comes by to help her out for the day.
Finally the next morning Adam brings Aubree back, and he brings his immature attitude along. But then you remember he is like what? 18 or 19? So yeah, that attitude is like a sidekick for the kid. And it's that attitude that causes him to walk away from their arguments rather than just settling stuff.
SumOlogy: Jenelle is seriously boring without that crap storm known as Keiffer wreaking havoc. Chelsea is seriously annoying when it comes to all this Adam junk. Leah is a seriously strong mom. And, well, Kailyn is seriously the Maci of this season.
