Apparently Kris Kardashian needs to learn a little about child labor laws. She's putting her teenage daughters to work on the family business.
People magazine reports that Kendall and Kylie Jenner are creating their own jewelry line. According to the article, the youngest members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan teamed up with sister Kim and designer Pascal Mouawad to make teen-targeted accessories.
The unnamed jewelry line, aimed at girls 12 to 19-years-old, will be a part of Mouawad's "Glamhouse collection." The collection also carries Nicole Richie's House of Harlow 1960 brand. Unlike most items under the Kardashian name average Americans will be able to afford these accessories, which will run anywhere from $20 to $60 per piece. Let's just hope these aren't made by kids in sweatshops.
Mouawad is thrilled to work with the Jenner teens, and not just because they are the spawns of Kris Kardashian.
"Millions of teenagers look to Kendall and Kylie for style advice," the designer says. "They were truly a perfect fit for the company and I'm thrilled to partner with them."
He isn't the only one looking forward to the project. The girls are also excited about this new project.
"We love accessories, and it's amazing that we're going to have our own line to be able to wear everyday — and for our friends to wear too," they said in a statement.
Perhaps 2012 will be the year we keep up with the Jenners and not the Kardashians.
