Everyone's favorite party girl is taking the year's biggest party night off. Lindsay Lohan has received an onslaught of hosting offers for New Year's Eve but the star has (gasp!) turned them all down, according to TMZ. 

First, let's address these hosting gigs. I would LOVE to know who is lining up to get Hollywoods Young Hot Mess to ring in the New Year. Really. The only explanation is that we sick, TV-watching folks do so enjoy a train wreck.

Despite being a wanted partying commodity, Linds plans on having a low-key New Year's with friends at home in an effort to change her image. She wants to impress the judge as she continues to plug away at her 480 hours of community service. She wagers that by staying out of the NYE madness she can prove that she's professional... or at least not the poster child for the ditzy drunk. Luckily she has that Playboy spread under her belt because nothing says profesh like totally tasteful nudey shots.

Of course turning down those NYE gigs does have a downside. Some stars have raked in 6-figure checks for the classic NYE party. But since the Playboy spread reportedly paid a hefty 6-figure check, perhaps she thought she was good to go. I mean, it also helped land her a modeling gig as the face of Jag Jeans, which is her usual pouty pseudo-sultry mess. But, hey, it's a job. Money isn't a worry for this one-time jewelry thief? Good.

While I would love to see a drunken, slurred L. Lo bopping around some gaudy stage ringing in the New Year, I do think it's a good thing to turn these alleged invitations down. Just in general, Linds, stay away. Lay low and spend some time with your crazy family, maybe force feed Ali, you know, good old fashioned wholesome activities. Then we'll see where you're at.
