Vogue Russia, namely photographer Arthur Elgort and his brilliant
artistic team, should be pretty darn proud of themselves right about now. I’ve
just come across one of my favorite editorials for the year, squeezed in by the
magazine right at the eleventh hour!
Featuring
Canadian up-and-comer Alana Zimmer as well as American model Crystal Renn, the
circus-themed spread shows the girls playing around with creepy clowns, an even
creepier-looking ringmaster dude, buff trapeze artists and an added dash of Cirque
Du Soleil-types fitted out what appears to be authentic performance attire.
But the juicy
details? The girls are sporting looks from Chanel and Valentino among others.
We’re particularly loving the ultra-chunky Chanel High Jewelry chain necklaces
featured around Alana’s neck in the prison-themed shots. And what about those
glitzy Chanel Fine earrings she’s wearing in the ‘tug of war’-inspired double pager?
Don’t even get us started on Crystal in that draped/crocheted canary yellow…
