Based on the news that there will soon be official
Lord of the Rings LEGOs, I feel I need to say the following:
<dl><dd>''
Three Bricks for the Elven-kings under the sky,</dd><dd>
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,</dd><dd>
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,</dd><dd>
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne</dd><dd>
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.</dd><dd>
One Brick to rule them all, One Brick to find them,</dd><dd>
One Brick to bring them all and in the darkness bind them</dd><dd>
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie."</dd><dd>
Thank you, I just needed to get that out. Now then!
Lord of the Rings LEGOs! LEGO has just picked up the rights to the world-famous fantasy series, with plans to produce the first Tolkien sets starting next summer. LEGO has already
set up a website for the upcoming sets, which features a cute picture of a minifig Frodo with his C-shaped hand around the One Ring. Now, what use someone with such... unique hands would have for a ring, especially one that big, is beyond me, but I'm not gonna be picky when the potential for building a LEGO Helm's Deep, then inviting Benny Gammerman over to help re-enact it is
at last within my grasp. I hope there are a ton of sets and I cross my treacherous Gollum fingers for a
LEGO Lord of the Rings video game or six.
Harry Potter, Star Wars, Batman, and
Indiana Jones are getting kinda lonely.
