You know how sometimes Disney's CGI movies are kinda like, "Meh, whatever," but then Pixar movies are usually like "ZOMG that was awesome"? Kinect games work along the same lines. Mostly they're stuff you would only play with the family, but every so often a Kinect game will come along that makes even the most hardcore, classic gamers take notice. Kinect Rush, just announced from Disney and Pixar, is such a game. At first I was like, "OK, whatever, Disney stuff for Kinect," but then I watched the trailer and I was like, "Dude, The Incredibles? In MY living room?" It's more likely than you think! Watch the trailer and I'm sure you'll see what I mean. Arm-flailing at its finest:
As you can see, the five Disney Pixar movies featured in Kinect Rush are Toy Story, The Incredibles, Up, Ratatouille, and Cars. Sure, one of these things is is a little less like the others, but let's ignore that for now and celebrate the fact that waaaah The Incredibles for Kinect!
I hope some other Pixar flicks arrive as DLC for this thing, because the release date (Mar. 12, 2012) will miss the release of Brave by a couple months. If I don't get to engage in some highland games, Pixar-style, by the time the apocalypse hits, I'm gonna have to break out my fightin' verbs. Also, where is Finding Nemo? I don't believe anyone gave the instruction to stop swimming.
