Joe Capp and Angelo Mosca have been hanging onto bitterness for 48 years. The two 73-year-old former CFL players got into a really entertaining fight during a Canadian Football League Alumni Legends Luncheon, complete with cane blows and kicking. It may be the best thing the CFL has ever given us.
According to Yahoo! CFL writer (and I'm really impressed that there is such a thing) Andrew Bucholtz, Capp and Mosca's disagreements date back to a dirty hit that Mosca put on Capp's teammate 48 years ago. The long-buried feud came back into the open last Friday when Kapp tried to give Mosca a bouquet of flowers, and Mosca told him to "Stick it up your ass." Kapp then teased Mosca by waving the flowers in his face, and the incident quickly escalated from there.
Mosca takes a wild swing with his cane, Capp makes a really great kicking attempt, then appears to land a solid punch with his right hand, causing the two septuagenarians to tumble to the floor together. The crowd, which rolled in delighted laughter at the "stick it up your ass" comment, gasped in horror.
Pretty special stuff, really.
