This was an exciting Thanksgiving for Detroit fans, because the Lions' annual turkey day matchup finally looked competitive. Of course, the Lions took it upon themselves to destroy any of that excitement by booking one of the most reviled acts in modern rock to play the halftime show: Nickelback. Detroit's fans protested, but their cries went unanswered and the Canadians were allowed to take the stage. The Lions also lost to the Packers, 27-15. Coincidence? I think not.
In case Detroit would like to win their Thanksgiving game next year, I'd like to submit the following act for their halftime show. It's Nickelback's music, but with a decidedly local twist:
