If you haven't played Sins of a Solar Empire, Ironclad Games' stellar 4X title, conquering known space just got a lot easier: Now that it's divorced its catalog from the rather clunky distribution system, Impulse, publisher Stardock is free to bring Sins and other games to new horizons. Steam is a great place for any game to make a new start in digital distribution, so it's only fitting that the breakout strategy game has just made its debut on Valve's far snazzier platform. You can now pick up the Trinity edition of the game, which includes a bunch of content added in post-launch, at that friendly store in cyberspace where everyone knows your name. Good thing, too, because Impulse is basically Steam's mustache-twirling evil doppleganger; its schemes were seriously holding Sins back.
Sins of a Solar Empire challenges players to master both large-scale strategy and small-scale tactics as they command the forces of... well, a solar empire. Conquer your friends in real-time as you research, build, and deploy sci-fi technology across an expansive star-scape! I just made up that word. Star-scape. Hence the hyphen. Is that cool?
Even if it isn't, Sins is. Grab some friends, clear your schedule, and prepare to dominate. Then prepare to grab a bunch of new friends, because you'll probably have to betray everyone you teach to play this game.
