Can I just take a minute to say this? Gotham City Impostors is an absolute blast. If you haven't yet encountered this zany team shooter, the basic idea is that Batman and the Joker are both missing, inspiring a bunch of unhinged weirdos to take to the streets in homemade costumes and murder the hell out of each other. Sounds good, right? Spoiler alert: It is! The mechanics are both tight and hilarious; team play feels rewarding and familiar. GCI is a downloadable game and feels just right alongside titles like Monday Night Combat; I predict DC Universe fans as well as shooter diehards will find something to love about the title.
When will they do this? On Jan. 10, of course--the newly-revealed release date for Gotham City Impostors. Starting in December to lead up to the official release, the devs will be opening up beta for those who volunteer. Hop onto the official site, grab a WB ID and prepare to customize your aspiring vigilante or clown. It's a mad world out there!
