Eddie Murphy has bailed from his hosting gig on this year's Oscars telecast, originally secured by then-producr Brett Ratner, who resigned from his post just 24 hours ago over an anti-gay slur ("Rehearsals are for fags.") Slick. This leaves the Academy about three months to find a new host and producer.

Apparently the two, probably to promote their film Tower Heist, planned to take a broader comedic approach to this year's awards - which actually sounded promising, if you ask me. It couldn't get much worse than last year's horror show. Do you guys have any suggestions for new producers/hosts?
