Confirmed At NYCC: 'Ghost Rider 2' Being Made, Nicolas Cage Smells Like Cookies

On Oct 16, 2011

Daredevil co-directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor blew everyone off the stage at New York Comic Con yesterday with a behind-the-scenes look at their upcoming movie Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Even for those who hate Nic Cage, the revealing footage of Neveldine/Tayor shooting whilst on rollerblades and strapped to vertiginous harnesses was enough to inspire gasps and cheers. You ain't gonna see Joss Whedon do that sh*t anytime soon. Come forum time, the duo said they preferred stupid questions, so I decided to oblige them.

BG: What does Nic Cage smell like?

BT: Cookies, right?

MN: Vanilla.

Now, when I think "vanilla cookie," I think Nilla Wafer. I'm not even aware of another vanilla cookie in existence. So, it's official, folks: Nicolas Cage smells like Nilla Wafers. Nilla Nic, they should call him. Other panel highlights...

Watch Ology's Recap of The Ghost Rider Panel

 - The tagline of the new trailer? "F*cking your sh*t up in 3D."

 - (on their Ghost Rider) "He's a darker, nastier, meaner version of the character. He's a demon from Hell."

 - (on developing fire effects) "We tested it on the homeless."

 - (on obtaining a PG-13) "Apparently, you can burn as many people as you want."

 - (on Cage) "He is absolutely everything you'd imagine he would be."

 - "Crank is destined to be a trilogy."

 - "3D post-conversion is as good as you make it."
