Psych fans got the chance to meet the USA Network cast at its Fan Appreciation Day on Oct. 6 at Ziegfeld Theatre in New York. They also got to watch a free screening of its first episode of season six, which premieres tonight!
When it came to the press, well, everyone just seemed to be asking the same questions. How do you feel tonight? Are you currently filming any new projects? How does it feel to be on the sixth season?
Well, you will not be getting that here. Instead, here's a list that any Psych-O fan would have seen that night if they just stood back, embraced the surprises and held their pineapple foam hand up, in anticipation for show time.
- Maggie Lawson, Kirsten Nelson, Corbin Bernsen and Timothy Omundson all coming on to the 'green' carpet first for the fans.
- Crazy t-shirt made psych-os. Well, the slogan is 'All Characters Welcome.'
- James Roday and Dule Hill making an entrance by surprising fans by the green Psych billboard.
- Hey there creator Steve Franks, you are like eight feet tall.
- Maggie and Kirsten posing together for photographers.
- Dule would LOVE for Martin Sheen to guest star. Oh, The West Wing days.
- Promoters giving out pineapple foam hands to the crowd.
- ALLY SHEEDY.
- James hugging Sheedy on the carpet.
- James rubbing Maggie's arms in the corner. (They have been dating since the first season.)
- Dule looking all hot in that striped purple and black sweater.
- Ally Sheedy mentioning her creepiest fan moment was when Corbin said he was a fan of hers.
- Who seriously just bumped into me? Why, its Claire Huxtable. Wearing all lime green. You go ahead--pass the interviews and head to the USA Network camera. Phylicia Rashad guest starred on two episodes as Mrs. Guster.
- James being all rugged and one of the last in right before his best Gus.
The cast stuck around for a decent hour but everyone started getting shuttled in for the 7:30 p.m. episode premiere. The entire theatre was filled with an introduction by Steve. Here's a little snip.
"Who else goes around the country to find you and show you the episode for free? I know The Mentalist has never done it. [Laughs] We are going to screen an episode for you tonight. I have to warn you, if you have children, this show has a lot of gratuitous nudity. So exit through the back if you won't like to see Tim Omundson's butt."
Yea, that pretty much wraps up the night. Let the sixth season commence!
