Terry Cavanagh's addictive puzzler VVVVVV (a.k.a. "the letter V six times," a.k.a. "woah, the floor is now the ceiling!") has charmed tons of clever gamers during its run as a PC title, but now it's about to start turning subways, bathrooms, and the line for the Kingda Ka upside-down. Courtesy of Nicalis, the game is headed for the Nintendo 3DS and scheduled for a late 2011 release. The game will be available on the eShop and will feature "full 3D awesomeness."
The game will make use of the 3DS' dual screens, showing a real-time map on the bottom screen to complement the physics-bending action up top. New levels and "future content updates" are also planned for the port. Yay!
If you want a chance to play the 3DS version of VVVVVV ahead of schedule, you can head to Indiecade in Culver City, CA, which is currently going down as we speak! (You are reading this article out loud, aren't you?) You'll have to track down Terry Cavanagh, but that won't be hard--just stand on a corner and yell "VVVVVV!" at the top of your lungs. People will either assume you're a huge FFIX fan or find Cavanagh for you immediately.
