File this under "random, but completely awesome." The new tumblr Imaginary Image Blog challenges visitors to create mental pictures from words alone. Through the blog, creator Chuck Anderson (Twitter's NoPattern) invents and then shares short descriptions of hypothetical images, intended to generate imaginary images in the collective mind of the blogosphere. Mind control via the Internet? Yep, this is a thing that happens. Some of the descriptions suggest rather pleasant images, while others involve things you won't be able to un-see, even though you've never seen them. Sometimes the Internet is insane.
Here are a few examples. I've filtered out most of the Nightmare Fuel, but even the weirder posts on Imaginary Image are worth a stray thought or two. I encourage you to stop by the blog and test your mental might. It's also a great test to determine whether the Internet has fully corrupted your mind! If Pedobear shows up in each and every one of the images you imagine, you might have a problem. Anyway.
Examples!

I would pay money.

Tyler Durden would be proud.

OK, not cool. This is basically online Inception.
