What's trock, you ask? Why, trock is the greatest Doctor Who musical genre and probably will be until they invent Doctor Who ska. (Get on that, Internet!) Trock stands for "Time Lord rock," an Internet phenomenon more or less analogous to Harry Potter's Wizard Rock. Trock musicians compose their own tunes or write parody lyrics to pop songs celebrating the Doctor and his companions to share the glory of the long-running sci-fi series with the world.
This latest trock masterpiece comes to you from YouTube's own speakerwiggin, whose very username should make the world's most ardent GeekOlogists smile a dorky smile. speakerwiggin has rewritten the lyrics to Ke$ha's immortal party anthem "Tik Tok" and recorded a spankin'-new, Doctor-fied version of the track. It's... ridiculously awesome. But it's also packed with grade-A, 100&% grass fed spoilers, so if you haven't seen "The Wedding of River Song," go do that first. Or, you know, send a buddy back in time and ask your past self to do it for you. Positively timey-wimey. For those who are caught up, here's an incredible retrospective of the Eleventh Doctor's most recent escapades.
New ringtone? New ringtone.
