After Sarah Burton crafted the wedding dress that near-billions tuned in to watch walk down the aisle on April 29 for Kate Middleton and Prince William's royal nuptials, all eyes would turn back to Lee Alexander McQueen's predecessor after his untimely suicide forced Burton to take the reins for seasonal collections. She's done absolutely nothing but impress us with yet another softer, ethereal spring line, this time complete with rouched, layered and scaled metallic taffeta and bondage-inspired lace pantyhose head toppers. Beyond obscuring the face, Burton blurred the line between harsh, destroyed beauty and masterful construction with ruffled hemlines along metallic skirt suits, exaggerated peplums layered ten times over and body conscious harnesses.
