Meet The Singing Turrets Of 'Portal 2' In New Valve Comic

On Oct 03, 2011

I'm just gonna say this right out front: If you haven't finished Portal 2 yet, you might wanna come back to this post once you have. I say "might" because, while the latest Valve comic doesn't have any direct spoilers for the events of Portal 2's epilogue, the joke contained therein points toward a post-game event that's best experienced as a surprise. So go finish all the tests, make your way through the Aperture facility's long-forgotten underbelly, and come back once you've carried your potato across the finish line. Cool? Cool.

For those dutiful gamers who've already accomplished the most ridiculous act of portal engineering ever imagined, Reddit's uncovered an extra surprise. Ever wonder how GLaDOS' snuggly little murder machines learned how to sing? Read the "secret" Portal 2 comic "Turret Lullaby" and you'll discover the truth behind Aperture's most musical experiment. You'll also wonder, briefly why Apeture Science doesn't have a quality assurance department. I assume they fired all those people and used their salaries to pay for more incendiary citrus fruits, but that's just my theory.

Anyway, I imagine you want to see more of "Turret Lullaby" than just the panels I've snipped for use in the banner pic, so hop over to Valve's website Think With Portals to read the rest. Ship it!
