Danny Masterson Scores Manly Comedy Show 'Men At Work'

On Oct 02, 2011

Danny Masterson is the latest That '70s Show cast member to move beyond television typecast territory and ditch his former alter-ego Steven Hyde. (Fellow former That '70s Show castmate, Ashton Kutcher, is currently filling a pretty sweet gig on Two and a Half Men, banking $700,000 per episode which makes him him the highest paid actor in TV).

Masterson will star as a guy who gets dumped by his girlfriend so he asks his friends to help him man up in the new TBS comedy Men at Work. So there will probably be mention of beer, strippers, football because that's what makes a man, right??!! The comedy joins a long list of 'man' shows that have taken over the television lineup as of late.

Courtesy of New York Magazine, here is a list:

  1. Man Up (2011)-- Three guys try to be more manly
  2. Last Man Standing (2011) -- A guy who tries to stay manly in a world dominated by women
  3. Work It (2011) -- Two guys want the job market to be more manly after realizing they live in a woman's world
  4. How to Be a Gentleman (2011)-- One guy teaching another guy how to be more manly
  5. A Gifted Man -- A guy's ghost companion wants him to be more upstandingly manly
  6. Man Caves -- Guys who make home decorating more manly
So basically, the television screen will be pumping out a lot of testosterone the next few months, but I digress. This was supposed to be about Danny Masterson...congrats?
