Watch The Chilling Official Trailer For 'Dexter's Final Season
How ready are you to have your mind blown? Because intense, dramatic, suspenseful, twisted, and wild aren't even the words to describe the world's first full look at the final season of Dexter. As the show gets ready to wind down the most epic eight-year run in cable history, all bets are off as to how this thing might end. As Dexter (Michael C. Hall) grapples with his how deep the rabbit hole of his own dark passenger goes, he also has to handle his sister Deb (Jennifer Carpenter), whose spiral out of control has no end in sight, a whirring mess of pills and sex and alcohol coupled with serious hatred for a brother who made her a killer. Meanwhile, a new doctor in town ostensibly puts Dexter in more danger than ever before. Watch the full three-minute trailer in the video below:
A lot of interesting things have happened on daytime's hottest talk shows this week.
Of course, majority of the live shows gave their commentary on Sunday's Primetime Emmy Awards. Ellen did her first live show of the season co-hosting her own show with pal Harry Connick Jr. They covered everything you needed to know about the awards show. Her housekeeper, Minny, was on hand at the Emmy's interviewing all of the gleeful winners. In her adorable accent and spirited personality, Minny proved that her coverage could be just as humorous as her boss Ellen DeGeneres.
'The View' also recapped the Emmy Awards on Monday as well as having the cast of the Broadway bound musical 'Newsies' perform two of their hit songs. I must say, those newsboys are quite cute and can dance circles around any of those "stars" on 'Dancing With The Stars'. Featured dancer Ryan Steele showcased his unbelievable talent and 'Newsies' lead Jeremy Jordan blew the roof off of ABC Studios with his powerful pipes. The thought of 'Newsies' live on stage makes all teenage theatre geeks giddy with excitement...myself included (even though I am 24 years old). How dare you judge me...
Today, on 'The View', the ladies celebrated the end of Don't Ask - Don't Tell. Giving her opinion on this historic day for our country, conservative commentator Elisabeth Hasselbeck had this to say; "How do you ask someone to fight for our freedoms daily, risk their lives, work with honor and courage, yet make them live a life of enslavement of their own truth. I think this is one of the best days for our nation - today, hands down." I am choked up just writing this. It felt so amazing to hear her speak those words. Regardless of your political party, Ms. Hasselbeck proved that this is a rejoiceful day for all Americans. Before the discussion, Whoopi introduced a viral video of a soldier calling his father to tell him that he is gay. Here is the full version of what they showed on 'The View' this morning:
'The Talk' is also featuring some interesting guests. Today they welcomed Chaz Bono and his dancing partner, Lacey, to join them at the table and to respond to some questions about his controversial partcipation on "Dancing With The Stars." Personally, I am Team Chaz. What are you? Team Nancy? Team Arquette? Team George Clooney's girlfriend? Also, while we are on the subject of 'The Talk', when are they going to acknowledge the fact that Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini will not be returning as co-hosts?!?! I know it has already been a couple of weeks but this is just down right tacky. CBS is thinking they are getting away with it by just swooping in Molly Shannon, Sheryl Underwood and Kris Jenner as "guest" co-hosts. I don't think Sharon Osbourne will be coming back after her "vacation". If this is the case, I don't think I will be watching as religiously as I did last year. However, I must say, Molly and Sheryl are fricking hysterical and they may persuade me to watch from time to time.
